This may be the last year the Stockton Asparagus Festival holds the huge community event in downtown Stockton. Festival organizers are considering moving to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds next year if they can’t reach an agreement on its contract with the city.

California’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent in March, down from 9.6 percent the month before, according to the California Employment Development Department (EDD).

Nearly 100,000 people in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties will be eligible for premium tax credits to help them buy health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, according to a newly released study.

Unemployment drops in February

 

California's unemployment rate fell to 9.6 percent in February, according to data released Friday by the California Employment Development Department (EDD).

The San Francisco group, Tower of Power will perform at the 2013 Stanislaus County Fair July 18, fair organizers announced.
