Stanislaus County Fair dates set for 2013

TURLOCK – Stanislaus County Fair officials recently confirmed the dates for the 2013 fair.

The Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce will present its first ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award to the Women’s Center – Youth & Family Services.

 

Business from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has made it possible for American Truck & Trailer Body Company Inc of Tracy. to expand its payroll by 50 employees.

New business opens on Miracle Mile

STOCKTON – That’s Showbiz, a store featuring Hollywood and Broadway novelties and gifts, opened recently in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue in Stockton Miracle Mile.

Members of the public will be able to see improvements planned for the University Miracle Mile median and Pacific Avenue median projects at an open house Thursday, Oct. 4.

Stockton audiences will be the first to hear Chris Brubeck’s Adventure for Jazz Quintet and Orchestra when members of the University of the Pacific’s 2012-13 Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet and the Stockton Symphony perform the world premiere on Oct. 11.

A Stockton accounting firm recently was named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s Best of the Best Firms for 2012. 

If new businesses opening and established businesses expanding are signs of a recovering economy, then Lincoln Center might be the epicenter of good things to come.
