STOCKTON – The city of Stockton is looking to fill a spot on the Port of Stockton Commission.
The vacancy is due to the expiration of a commissioner’s term and the new four-year term will begin July 2012. The application
deadline is April 26, or until the seat is filled.
The Port Commission oversees the Port of Stockton by adopting general rules and regulations that best promote the interests of the Port.
The City Council fills vacancies on city commissions and an appointee must have lived in the Port District for at least one year prior to appointment. There is no compensation for serving on the commission.
The commission meets the first and third Monday of each month at Port District Office at 2201 W. Washington St.
