Part of state Highway 99 in south San Joaquin County will be closed later this week for road work there.
The California Department of Transportation will close the left lane and median on the north- and southbound lanes of Highway 99 from the San Joaquin-Stanislaus county line to Jack Tone Road in Ripon to carry out sweeping work there. The work will happen 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday (June 12).
Motorists should expect 15 minute delays.
The work schedule may change due to weather conditions.
California’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.0 percent in April, according to data released today by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) from two separate surveys. That was down from 9.4 percent in March and 10.7 percent a year ago.
