Locally owned businesses in Modesto can learn about joining the push to encourage customers to spend their money at independent stores by attending a meeting Monday evening.
The Modesto Independent Business Alliance is launching and signing up locally owned, independent businesses Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Modesto Bee offices at 1325 H Street. MIBA is part of the larger American Independent Business Alliance, a national group dedicated to helping comunities launch "buy independent, buy local" campaigns.
Business owners can learn about the advantages of joining the alliance and sign up at the meeting.
