“The Elves and the Shoemaker” is a classic adored by both children and adults.  When two elves arrive at a small village in the Black Forest they discover a kind-hearted shoemaker whose tiny shop could use some help.  After the shoemaker saves the elves from his evil landlord, the elves agree to create beautiful and enchanting shoes for the shoemaker to sell.

Established in 1976 and based in Sunnyvale, the California Theatre Center is a not-for-profit theatre company that has twice been recognized by the American Theatre Association as the top professional theatre for youth in the United States.  Among many awards, the company was also recently selected by Bay Area Parent Magazine as the Best Family Theatre.

This production is sponsored in remembrance of Bette Belle Smith.  The Gallo Center for the Arts’ 2010-11 Premier Partners are Doctors Medical Center and Doubletree Hotel Modesto.
