Want a job at one of Amazon.com's distribution centers? The online retail giant posted job openings Thursday.
Amazon.com is opening new centers in Tracy and Patterson this year. The jobs posted include positions ranging from management to maintenance.

Joseph F. Sheley has been named president of CSU Stanislaus, the university announced Wednesday. Sheley had served as interim president of the campus since June 2012. His appointment is effective immediately. 
California’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.0 percent in April, according to data released today by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) from two separate surveys. That was down from 9.4 percent in March and 10.7 percent a year ago.
