Stockton Restaurant Week expanding for 2012

Written by

STOCKTON – Restaurants from across Stockton will come together for what has become a much-anticipated annual culinary event – Stockton Restaurant Week.

The event has been expanded to 10 days this year to allow more locals a chance to dine out, according to a Stockton Convention and Visitors Bureau statement on the event. This year the celebration of food will be Sept. 14 to 23.

Participating restaurants during this fourth annual event will offer special three-course meals that will showcase some of the region’s most talented chefs and Stockton’s culinary diversity. The fixed-price menus will be priced at $9.95 per person for lunch, and $15, $20 or $25 per person for dinner, not including beverages, tax and gratuity.

Stockton Restaurant Week was created in 2009 to highlight Stockton as a diverse dining destination and allow our many local foodies and families an opportunity to enjoy a diverse selection of participating local restaurants. Considering the continuing economic climate, this 10-day event will allow diners to discover new restaurants, support their favorites, and enjoy their meals at a reduced price.

More than 25 restaurants are expected to participate. The official Stockton Restaurant Week website will list participating restaurants and menus.

The Stockton Convention and Visitors Bureau produces the Stockton Restaurant Week and the Great Stockton Asparagus Dine Out scheduled for the spring.
