Barefoot named 'hot brand' for 10th time

Barefoot wine has been named a “hot brand” for the 10th year in a row by Impact magazine, one of the industry’s leading trade publications, E&J Gallo Winery announced May 8.

May 9 has been established as National Moscato Day by Modesto-based Gallo Family Vineyards. The company is spotlighting this second annual event with a national Twitter party to connect Moscato drinkers across the country.

California wine grape tonnage, prices climb

 

The California Department of Food and Agriculture today reported that the preliminary 2012 report shows nearly 4.4 million tons of wine grapes were crushed, 13 percent more than the 3.87 million tons the previous year and 1 percent higher than the previous high in 2005.
